"Let's get it pumpin' now"
Ye Ara - Americano
This song is dedicated to probably the most popular coffee beverage in Korea: the Americano. Its the strongest/cheapest you can get. So I get it a lot when I get coffee. Anyway, I post this while I sip my earl grey at home. Ha.

3 Day Weekend Part 3
I think they're in chronological order... no promises. Anyway, some more photos from the Memorial Day weekend. Hope they're to your liking!
Crabs in Yeongdeok
They cook them and then cut them up for you! This makes it entirely too easy to shovel crab into your mouth. Scissors + Crab = Why haven't we thought of this yet?
Talk no, crab yes.
What's a "waman"?

This is on the back of a coin-- at Bulguksa Temple.

Gablijim in Gyeongju, a local dish (that's tastier in Seoul)
An ancient royal Shilla observatory that everyone was psyched about except me. How does it work?? Wikipedia told me it was probably more about astrology. I'd buy that. It's just a tower...
Let's go see some burial mounds, kids!

Gyeongju burial mounds
Everything in Gyeongju is "ancient" themed. Someone's Shilla-style house (contrast intended).

(Ancient) gas station
This is the (ancient) toll gate to leave town.

4 to 1 LG Loses
No matter who I go to see, they lose (9 times out of 10). LG is like the Yankees of Korea-- and they lost! Come on!

3 Day Weekend Part 2
I'm still too lazy to write about it but I'll post some more photos instead.
If you can spend about US$9-$11 you can have all this.
Danyang, SK
Suuuuuuuuuper Asian.
Danyang, (obviously) SK
According to one sign, touring these waters was the best luxury a person could afford. It costs $7.50 now.

3 Day Weekend Part 1
Happy Memorial Day, I went on vacation/hiatus from the blog and I'll update soon. For now, enjoy this picture of me comparing side burns with this nice Shilla gentleman. Shilla was a kingdom in central southern Korea a while back. Back then people's heads was huge I take it.

Yerba Mate 2: The Southern Cone Strikes Back
That one in the middle is yerba mate (마테차). Saw this at a local family grocer or "mart" on the way back from having some 5 layer bacon barbecue (오겹살) down the street from my apartment. Yum. I still prefer to buy from the Paraguayans and drink it loose leaf but I do have some mate bags at my house.
