Yerba Mate 2: The Southern Cone Strikes Back

That one in the middle is yerba mate (마테차). Saw this at a local family grocer or "mart" on the way back from having some 5 layer bacon barbecue (오겹살) down the street from my apartment. Yum. I still prefer to buy from the Paraguayans and drink it loose leaf but I do have some mate bags at my house.

I found yerba mate at E-Mart! It turns out that South American tea is invading Korea. The writing at the top promises the drinker with get the "24inch secret." It's working. ;) I've always been able to get loose leaf yerba mate for my gourd in Itaewon at the Paraguayan owned, El Comedor, but this is pretty nice too.
